The Welsh Holiday Home Dilemma!

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

I live in West Wales, to be exact I live in Pembrokeshire, a county of beautiful beaches and coast paths, with the opportunity of getting outdoors to enjoy extreme sports such as surfing or coasteering, or more sedate activities such as walking and rockpooling. This makes our county a very popular 'staycation' location, with the population increasing as the weather improves as we share our corner of paradise with those who live within a 4 hour radius and are happy to drive down the M4 on a Good Friday! We know we are lucky to live here, and the covid 19 lockdown made us all even more grateful, however with beauty there always comes sacrifice. It is harder and harder for local people to purchase properties in the area as properties are bought by those who live away who work hard and can afford to enjoy their own slice of paradise, know one can argue that much of the local economy is based on tourism so we welcome our visitors with open arms, however the Welsh Government has now bought in new rules to try to balance the issue. You now have to rent your property for 182 days per year to avoid paying council tax (which has increased considerably for second homes). These has made some people panic who own their properties as an investment. That is where we can come in! Holiday Lets are competing with all other like for like properties, first impressions count and how your property makes people feel when they are scrolling through potential breaks is important. We can give you advice and direction to ensure your property stands out in the crowd! Staging is not just to sell, it is to rent to! #stagemyhome #holidaylets #airbnb #stageyourholidayhome #increasebookings #holidaylet #holidayhomemanagement #holidayhomemanagement #lookgood #firstimpressions
